Ray’s at Killer Creek’s Sunday brunch

Full of seafood options, a carving station and hearty vegetables, this brunch is still quite affordable

Brunch is quickly becoming my favorite meal. You can sleep in, yet be drinking in the middle of the day and eat tons of bacon and it’s totally acceptable. And while I’m not big on buffets, any that include eggs, plenty of seafood and a pretty atmosphere are my jam. Check out the dining room at Ray’s Killer Creek below.

If you like seafood, then you know Ray’s is known for theirs. So take care not to fill up on the muffins and pastries that you’ll first encounter. Oh no, waltz right past those to the seafood. There’s salmon, trout, and peel and eat shrimp and that’s just one of four rows of food options at Ray’s Killer Creek. You’ll find those on the cold buffet.

On the warmer side, you’ll come across pimento cheese fritters and chicken and waffles. Say yes to the pimento cheese fritters but no to the chicken and waffles which were quite bland. I enjoyed a Big Green Egg brisket hash, a scoop of mac and cheese and their savory brussels sprouts and several other items at Ray’s Killer Creek Sunday brunch.

Did those three items at the top catch your eye? If not maybe this will: they are the crab cake benedict, lobster chilaquiles and bananas foster french toast ordered a la carte and they are all included in Ray’s Killer Creek brunch for no additional cost. How cool is that? The best was the crab cake with a cajun sauce drizzled atop. While I enjoyed the chilaquiles at Killer Creek (pictured below) I felt it was lacking in actual lobster. As for the bananas foster, I never actually got to try it because my lunch date mopped it up before I had a chance to have a taste! Thanks, Glen.

The cost of Ray’s Killer Creek buffet is just under $35 per person, which is about half the cost of The Four Season’s in Midtown Atlanta’s brunch buffet. While I love that buffet, it is a bit costly, and reserved  for special occasions.
