The Cobb Galleria wants everyone to know that convention center food doesn’t have to be boring. Chef Nick Walker, who’s been heading up the convention center kitchen at the Cobb Galleria treated us to when we visited last month.
We were off to quite a unique start with an appetizer of Artichokes, Fennel and Grapefruit (see above). Who knew the three would pair so well together? And how lovely is the plating on this dish? We also had a sample of scallop, shrimp and crab. Three of my favorite things altogether on one plate – and it all was terrific, but the crab did stand out a bit more than the other two.
My favorite dish of the sampling was the lamb pasta. This tender lamb and house made pasta were fantastic. Although, it sounds like it would be a heavy dish, it certainly felt light and still left room for dessert. Chef even was kind enough to show us the lamb bacon he made to go in the dish!
