I like flaky biscuits and I cannot lie – No matter what neighborhood you live in, Atlanta has a fantastic spot for biscuits. Check out this guide for the best biscuits in Atlanta.

Cultivate Food and Coffee chicken biscuit

This is one of the best biscuits I’ve ever had in my life – and the pimento cheese on top is glorious

This gorgeous spot is open in Midtown and what I love about it (I mean besides the gorgeous modern design and friendly staff) is that they have 2 separate dining areas. Go left and place your coffee order to go or sit at their meeting tables designed for short coffee meetings or work spaces. Go right and you’ll see more tables designed for dining in, especially for larger groups.

The other thing I love is that they serve breakfast ALL day! So you don’t want a sandwich or a burger? Craving brunch on a Thursday like I was? Then head to Cultivate Coffee and Food in Midtown and order this glorious, huge fried chicken biscuit! I love the house made pimento cheese (and look how generous it is). But the nice thing is they take two pieces of chicken and fry it, leaving it so tender and juicy. My friend and I split that because we had also ordered the beignets (another signature item with blueberry jam to slather on top) and sausage balls. Yum! There’s also free parking in the deck behind the coffee spot.

Apron and Ladle (plain, fried chicken or bacon / avocado / tomato biscuits)

In the Sandy Springs neighborhood, you’ll fall in love with the cut restaurant, Apron + Ladle. Open for breakfast and lunch, the good thing is, if you are craving a biscuit or breakfast food at lunch that’s not a problem, because at this spot, breakfast is served all day long. Well, that is until they close at 2:30. Biscuits are made from scratch and saying that they are huge is an understatement. There are numerous biscuits that are enticing such as the pork belly topped with red eye gravy or the brisket biscuit, but we loved the fried chicken covered with Pimento cheese the best (see it below)!

Maple Street Biscuit – This restaurant which originates in Florida stole my heart with their maple infused coffee. But then I tried their biscuits which come with huge pieces of fried chicken, or bacon, and sausage gravy. OMG are these some of the best biscuits I’ve ever had! One of my favorites is the Flying Goat with goat cheese and pepper jelly!

Callie’s Hot Little Biscuit – You’ll find these outstanding biscuits in the Virginia Highland hood. They may be small but they deliver a lot in those small packages. They are decent plain, but these wonderful biscuits are  so much better filled with jam, pimento cheese or ham.

Sun in My Belly biscuits – How can you not smile when you hear the name, Sun in My Belly? former hardware store is perfect for enjoying one of their coffees and perfect biscuits. But you definitely need to go back and get their Challah French Toast another time.

Flying Biscuit – With locations all around Atlanta, you’re sure to have a Flying Biscuit near you. Though the large menu is full of phenomenal choices, make sure that you get at least one biscuit, even if you share it.  Make sure to get that apple butter to put on it.

Love these small 2-bite biscuits and jams that come with brunch at Murphy’s in Atlanta.

Murphy’s Biscuits – Have you ever been brave enough to wait for brunch here? It can be brutal when you haven’t had your coffee yet. But these biscuits are truly some of the best in Atlanta! I promise.

Ladybird brunch biscuit – If you have not yet been this lovely restaurant on the Atlanta beltline, consider this your kick in the butt to get there. You don’t have to feel guilty about devouring one of the best biscuits in Atlanta because you can go walk it off after as you stroll along the beltline.

Mountain Biscuits – This Kennesaw spot is named so because it is right down the street from Kennesaw mountain. I mostly go walk the mountain, work up an appetite and stop in this cute little spot. A pork sausage biscuit is one of my fave biscuits here. Make sure to go at off peak times as parking is quite limited.
