Disclosure: My meal at Atlas was complimentary
Don’t dismiss Atlanta’s Atlas as just another hotel restaurant. Impeccable dishes are complimented by the stunning collection of art at this swanky Buckhead spot.
1. The patio at Atlas restaurant is perfect for fall
In Atlanta, fall is the best time to be outdoors. Usually, I love it in the low 80s / high 70s, but at Atlas I want it to be a just wee bit cooler so I can enjoy the fire pit at Atlas. They have lovely small bites and of course you can order cocktails on the patio, so what are you waiting for?
2. They have excellent bar food at Atlas restaurant
Luckily when I visited Atlas in Buckhead, I sat at the bar to enjoy a cocktail before heading to dinner. But after a peek at the bar menu I had to try a couple items – it all looked so incredible. Pictured above is the shrimp and fried okra.
3. There’s a fireplace inside Atlas restaurant, perfect to get cozy
Let’s face it, the fire pits on the patio are great…for fall. But you know there’s winter and cold spring days when you just want to be inside, in front of a warm fire. This is the perfect spot for that.
4. The cocktails at Atlas Atlanta are impressive
Take a look at these cocktails below. I mean how gorgeous do they look? Like the food, the cocktails at Atlas change often, so you probably won’t find these exact ones there now, but I promise you’ll fall in love with whatever cocktails you do have.
5. You’re surrounded by famous artists when you dine at Atlas in Atlanta (well, their work)
Van Gogh, Matisse…you know all those famous artists? Well Atlas has an amazing collection of their work all throughout the restaurant. And it is something they are pretty proud of. If you ask, you’ll probably get a map and information about the paintings and their artists. So, when you visit Atlas restaurant, you not only get dinner but it’s like visiting a museum too. Bonus!
6. Despite being a hotel restaurant, Atlas prides itself on droolworthy food!
Sure, you can get the$70 steak when you visit Atlas, but there are so many other phenomenal dishes you’d be missing out on. This rabbit sausage dish was better than any other steak I’ve had in my life, the rabbit and gnocchi practically melt in your mouth.
Another dish I loved at Atlas? The Lobster en Croute. I mean what’s not to love? Huge pieces of claw meat, some wrapped in a fried pastry, then drizzled with a creamy sauce?
7. Dessert is an event at Atlas in Buckhead
You know, there are some dinners, that just drag on and on and you just want them to be over already. Am I right? But not at Atlas restaurant. No joke, I really enjoyed the pace of the service and really savored this date night. No wonder it is one of my favorite Atlanta restaurants and I often recommend both friends and out of towners to visit Atlanta.
Okay, these hibiscus donuts at Atlas were killer. But I loved the tea options and presentation too. I mean, they do have afternoon tea at the St. Regis, so they know a thing or two at this Atlanta hotel about making tea time elegant, but this was exceptional.
