Another Broken Egg, the breakfast and brunch spot has opened up several Atlanta locations. The fourth Atlanta location, near Perimeter Mall, opens today. I’ve been once before, to the Vinings location. While I love Vinings, that location felt cramped and overcrowded, though the food was tasty. The Dunwoody location is spread out and no at all overcrowded. Service was quick and friendly.
While you can find sandwiches, salads and burgers on the menu, I’m a sucker for brunch whenever I can get it. There are omelettes, skillets, and benedicts on the brunch menu at Another Broken Egg. Crab cake lovers rejoice: you have TWO crab cake brunch options to choose from: Crab cakes Cavallo or the Crab stack. I favor the Crabcakes Cavallo. It is served on an English muffin topped with poached eggs and andouille hollandaise sauce. The Crab stack is not too shabby either served atop a grit cake with shrimp and andouille sausage.
Be sure to start your meal with an order of Beignets, complete with honey marmalade dipping sauce! Trying to eat healthy? Get the berry topped grits (pictured above).
Expect long waits on weekends. If you have a hankering for ABE, head over for lunch on a weekday to easily snag a table without wait.
