Wow – affordable, yet delicious sushi. Find these beautiful sushi creations at FUDO in Chamblee, perfect for a date night or a night out with the gals.
Disclosure: My meal at FUDO sushi was complimentary.
If you’ve lived in Atlanta for any length of time, you have to admit that one of the neighborhoods that has been most transformed in the last handful of years is Chamblee. Along with all the new construction of both homes and apartments, there are also many new restaurants and mixed use developments in the area. One of the best additions to the neighborhood is FUDO. Their cocktails and sushi are a delight. Their decor is upscale yet not stuffy. FUDO plays great music and is laid back enough that you can feel comfortable getting a little dressed up if it is date night, or pop in in shorts and sneakers and still feel okay.

Start with the Dancing with the Stars cocktail and seaweed salad. All of the drinks at FUDO looked super interesting so I can’t wait to go back and try some of the other cocktails with my girlfriends. And that seaweed salad? So good and such a generous portion! I’ve been to many sushi spots where they would offer up half this portion for the same price. It was plenty for the hubs and I to whet our appetite before the sushi started rolling in (See what I did there?). Oh and can we just stop and admire how pretty that serving dish is too? All their trays and plates are like this at FUDO sushi.

If I had one complaint about FUDO sushi it would be there are too many terrific sushi roll choices. I mean, the list just kept going and it was difficult to hone in on just a couple rolls. But what we did have was outstanding! My top sushi pics? You can’t go wrong with A Star is Born and Ocean’s 8 roll. A Star is born had it all – tuna, salmon, crab. And that Ocean’s 8 is a shellfish lover’s dream with shrimp, langoustine and crab!!
