Food, drinks and entertainment for just $39? You bet. It all happens at Bottle Rocket’s Sushi Class and it is a fantastic date idea!

In case you didn’t know, I’m a huge fan of Bottle Rocket in Castleberry Hill. Shoot, I like it so much I got married there! No joke. No wonder I’m recommending taking a sushi class there. Besides killer cocktails, Bottle Rocket’s sushi kicks ass and the atmosphere and decor is awesome! If you are early in your dating life or just looking for something fun to do with a friend, this a terrific idea! There’s lots of interaction with the sushi chef during this sushi class but they don’t take themselves so serious, you can’t also have fun!

So, when I heard they were offering sushi classes, I couldn’t wait to share the news. The class is taught by Jen Anderson, who’s been with the restaurant for years. Jen expertly explains the nuances of polishing rice, pitting and slicing an avocado, and getting the most out of your cucumbers. And the best part is you get to eat your sushi creations you make during this amazing sushi class! Don’t worry about remembering all the details, Bottle Rocket will send you home with resources, including rice recipes and tips of where to buy sushi grade fish to make expert sushi at home.
