Buckle up buttercup – you’re in the ride of your life with the first World of Illumination in Marietta. The name of the themed drive through light extravaganza is Rockin’ Chrsitmas.
World of Illumination might be new to Atlanta but there are a couple other options that have been around for a couple of years. Each theme park has its own special theme. But they all feature at least two million lights, yes you read that right, a Christmas light display in Atlanta with 2 million lights!
The World of Illumination is a mile long drive through light show, designed to make you feel like you are inside a Candyland (remember that board game from your childhood?) Well imagine if it came to life! Or, if you are like me, you love cheesy holiday movies. I don’t know, it just gets me in the Christmas sprit. This extraordinary Atlanta holiday light show will make you feel like you are in a holiday Hallmark movie!
The unique theme park experience called Rockin Christmas, open nightly from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. now until January 3rd. Cost starts at $39.

Candy Rush features 40-foot-tall candy canes, giant animated Christmas characters, and twinkling sweets galore. A 500-foot-long tunnel will bring you through “Santa’s Magic Portal” into a gigantic gingerbread village with your most beloved Christmas characters and simulated snowfall.
The 2 million glittering lights in the exhibit are fully synchronized to your favorite holiday music so you can sing along to Christmas classics along the way.
