NFA Burger also serves hot dogs and offers a 1/3 lb all beef Vienna hot dog. It is a nice addition but even with the toppings I added I didn’t think it was much better than a store-bought hot dog. The signature NFA Burger is what will leave you wanting more. An all-beef patty, topped with gooey cheese, mustard and pickles, along with a house made Sassy sauce, all sandwiched between a freshly-baked bun. NFA Burger has something for everyone! If you like it spicy top it with Hatch green chiles.

When and how to order the NFA Burger

Don’t crave the NFA Burger on Sundays. Make sure you plan your visit because NFA is closed Sundays and Mondays. It also closes early on Tuesday and Wednesday at 3pm. Thursday, Friday and Saturday you can get the infamous NFA burger until 7:30 pm. When I visited to grab my burger around 2pm on a Wednesday, I thought I would have missed the lunch rush but a line about 13 deep was ahead of me. Luckily a group of 10 that was all ordering together let me get in front (thanks, guys!). There was a mock counter setup where you order and pay (not the counter where the burger is made, which I found strange). There are young kids working who are friendly and helpful. Once I placed my order, I went out to my car to wait and in a couple of minutes, they brought it out to my car and I was on my way.

The beef to bun ratio was perfect. I don’t think I’d have wanted a single, as they are pretty thin burgers. I also liked the with the double patty I could still take reasonable bites. Don’t you hate when a burger or sandwich is so thick you can’t even take a bite? Not with this one. Also the gooey cheese and Sassy sauce were perfect, not dripping off the burger but just the right amount of flavor. Overall, I’d put this NFA burger in my top list of burgers.
