Oysters at Milton’s Cuisine and Cocktails

Whether you like them raw, grilled, or smothered with cheesy goodness, here is a list of the 13 Best Atlanta Restaurants for Oysters.

101 Steak – Located in Vinings

This romantic spot is perfect for a special date. Of course, you are going to order steak, it’s in the name of the restaurant. But to start, you gotta order a dozen oysters. Eat them plain or with the house-made sour orange cocktail sauce or pickled ginger mignonette.

Alici

Atlanta’s newest entrant into the oyster scene is Alici, a Mediterranean focused restaurant from chef Pat Pascarella. The name comes from the Italian word for “Anchovy”. There will be a dozen different oysters offered daily. When we dined prices ranged from around $3 to $5.75 per oyster. You can choose from your favorite type of oyster from salty and briny to sweet and cucumber-like. There are plenty of wines to pair with the meal, but we really loved the cocktails, especially the #70, a unique cocktail made with Cynar and ras el hanout, a savory Middle Eastern spice blend.

Beetlecat – What’s not to love (including the oysters at this Inman Park hot spot in Atlanta?)

I love the decor at this Inman Park spot. DYK? They have daily oyster specials. Nab a seat on the patio if it isn’t too hot!

Fontaine’s Oyster House – Classic Atlanta Seafood Restaurant

While seafood abounds at this long-time Atlanta restaurant, Oysters are the specialty here. Besides a selection of raw oysters, if you like the cooked variety choose from Oysters Rockefeller, Crab and Bacon Oysters, or Oysters Scampi.

Bully Boy

For $15, guests can also explore the Chef’s Oyster Plate featuring three oysters, each with its own topping including Hokkaido Bafun uni, ikura, and caviar. Bully Boy’s full dinner menu and its expansive list of sake, wine, beer and signature cocktails will also be available. For more information or to make a reservation, visit,?www.bullyboyatl.com.

If you are on the north side of town you definitely need to head to Lapeer in Alpharetta. Not only is their rotating selection of oysters incredible, but they have their own house-made hot sauce to compliment them.

But there’s so much more to Lapeer than just oysters. The decor is gorgeous and they have excellent cocktails and oh my goodness their lobster pasta has my mouth watering. Check out my full post on Lapeer here.

Louisiana Bistreaux

I totally didn’t expect to LOVE the oysters here as much as I did. When I think of slurping down some fresh oysters, this is one of the first spots that come to mind. If you’re in Decatur, I highly recommend checking out this spot for National Oyster Day!

Lure

If you enjoy oysters, make sure to get an order at Lure. They always have whatever is currently in season, so ask your server what the day’s specials are. They are served with cocktail sauce and horseradish as expected, but also a shochu mignonette.

Indulge in their shellfish platter with oysters, shrimp, king crab and ceviche. Or sit at the raw bar for oysters by the dozen or half dozen.
